In February 1995, Aina started one of the most solid careers in the history of the hardcore/punk scene in Barcelona, introducing a new flavor of mid-tempo, melodic and emotional songwriting to the town. Taking influences from their mentors across the ocean in Washington DC, Aina hangs with the likes of Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Bluetip, Fugazi, and the dischordant punk scene. Since their inception Aina has toured Europe extensively, playing over 200 shows in the last few years and still going strong, playing with such bands as The Capitol City Dusters, Burning Airlines, Bluetip, Shiner, Engine Down, and others.

In 2002 and 2003, Aina brought their brand of dischordant punk rock to the United States, doing national tours with Shiner, Burning Airlines, Engine Down, and The Capitol City Dusters.
